How We Found One Another

July 4th, 2012

July 4th was most likely the first meeting of the couple, when the band members of the Yeah Mans and Cloud Lantern arrived at Margaret's apartment where her roommates had promised to paint the band's shirts for the show. When they arrived, Margaret helped with the painting process by covering her hands in red, white, and blue (mostly blue) paint and putting hand prints all over the blank white t-shirts. Giordano still has this shirt and wears it every 4th of July as a reminder of the first real contact the couple had, a swirled hand print that came from Margaret placing a hand on his shoulder asking " Are you Dia's brother?" They became friends and it wasn't long before others pointed out the connection they had. Giordano knew he was interested in Margaret when she scored a home run in a friendly Kickball game with friends and Margaret knew she was interested when she ran to the sound of his trumpet because she was late for a house show. It took another month for Giordano to ask Margaret, "Hey, do you like the Shins? Because I already bought you a ticket to their show in a month." Since then they have rarely been apart as they adventure through the woods, concerts and festivals, and are both excited to invite you to the celebration of their new journey.

The Ring & Proposal

November 13, 2018

In August Margaret attended a music festival with some close friends, including Giordano's former coworker and friend John Rowe. John gave Margaret many crystals, which he had personally excavated, to take home to Giordano including a rare triangular piece of Galena (Lead Glance) and Linarite (Oxidized Copper Sulfides) that is a unique combination only found in Socorro, NM. When she returned to Durango she explained the stone and how magical she found it. Giordano took the stone and had it made into a ring but could not decide how or when to present it. Margaret had just obtained a landscaping client list and was very busy completing fall clean up and her seasonal job at a local nursery. Giordano gallantly came to her aid by joining her on her landscaping adventures, picking up leaves and debris. One evening they went home to shower off the seeds and dirt before going out for dinner to celebrate their hard work. As Margaret toweled off and combed her hair Giordano set up the surprise. Margaret opened the shower curtain to find Giordano on one knee with a massive nervous grin. After a burst of laughter and the response 'Of Course' they went out to celebrate and share the news.

100 Days!

We have had some MixUps!

We originally planned for all of our events to be at Lemon Reservoir. However, the Forest Service asked us to move the location to Haviland Lake and Chris Park Group Campground. We will now have more camping, be closer to town, and it’s a lot easier to find! We do encourage everyone interested in getting private sites or hotel rooms to start looking soon to secure reservations and save some money! Please Check with the Days Inn or any other recommendations in the accomodations page! We apologize for any problems this may have created! Love and hugs!

50 Days!

Here We Go!

We have been working our butts off for the last few months trying to get everything prepared for this epic party! Nano has been working 6 days a week at El Moro Spirits & Tavern in the kitchen while Margaret is there most evenings serving after landscaping for folks around town under her new business Moon Gardens. We are so very thankful of all of the support that our town and community have provided during this process. Without all of your love and support none of this would be possible. Thank you all so much for any contributions or assistance you have provided, it means the world to us! If you would like to contribute please be prepared, we will need lots of helping hands to get things set up or broken down and would appreciate any assistance. We love you all and are so thankful for everyone! Love and Hugs!

Alrighty Everyone! This is how things are looking for our big party here!!! 20% chance of rain on Friday 19th and Saturday the 20th! UV index is still high, so be prapared for hot and sunny, as well as rainy and chilly! The Mosquitos are out as well! The rover is way to high to float or boat so we recomend that you stick to the mountain lakes for your river sports! Dont forget your sunscreen!
