From Lolla to Love Everlasting!

Marcus and Jillian met sometime in the Red Hall at lunch at Holland High School. With many mutual friends, as well as both participating in Theatre and Swimming, they became friends (Marcus claims he’s been crushing since 2006!) Fast forward to the Summer of 2011 when they were back home from school, they reconnected and attended a very romantic and rainy Lollapalooza together and the rest is history.

Marcus took Jillian to their favorite bookstore, Myopic Books, and gave Jillian a beautiful vintage copy of “Anne of Green Gables” by L.M. Montgomery where he had this passage highlighted: “‘We are going to be the best of friends,’ said Gilbert jubilantly. ‘We were born to be good friends, Anne. You’ve thwarted destiny enough. I know we can help each other in many ways. You are going to keep up your studies, aren’t you? So am I. Come, I’m going to walk home with you.” After getting on one knee, he said “You’re my best friend, and I want to walk you home forever.” Jillian said yes, and they celebrated with a surprise mini photoshoot with Marcus’s groomsman, Eric Perez outside the bookstore.
