Our story is simple: we met at the University of Kansas in a club called Student Union Activities. James loved it. Then, we were friends until we weren't. On January 1, 2017 at 2 a.m., just after James had taken three bites of Marcea's burrito (he wasn't hungry so he didn't order his own), he asked her to be his girlfriend. Marcea is writing this if you can't tell. Since then, a whole lifetime has happened. From struggling up mountains in Colorado to getting dehydrated in Utah canyons, it was clear that we were perfect travel companions. We decided to test this in the most extreme way: by hopping on as many planes as possible all around Europe. In our travels, we found even more shared loves: wine, meat and cheese boards, walking around city centers at night, boat tours, meat and cheese boards, music festivals, picnics, meat and cheese boards and so much more. All the traveling landed us in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower at approximately 8:45 a.m. on December 29, 2023 (6 years and 11 months later for those counting), where James proposed. We've had so much fun preparing for our wedding since then while settling down in Kansas City and can't wait to celebrate with you all soon!
