Our paths had crossed many times in and around Boston before we officially met for a last minute first date on a frigid night in Somerville, MA. Ever since that first beer, we knew we had something special! Whether it was the countless dance parties in our kitchen, hiking with our dogs, or soaking up the sun with friends and family it has all led to our very special day (which may or may not have been wished upon a shooting star while camping in Vermont)!
It was merely weeks before the pandemic struck when Marc and Megh stepped into an antique jewelry shop in Newburyport that would result in Marc secretly returning the next day. From that moment on, it felt like every attempt to pop the question had been thwarted, shut down and negated. Eventually, it took a last minute trip to Megh's parents' home in Connecticut and the coordination of Megh's family to make it happen - and even then, it almost didn't! The various obstacles included Megh wanting to hang by the pool and swim rather than go for a hike in the humidity and then saying she was too sweaty to stand next to Marc for a photo at their favorite spot on the trail. She almost postponed the trip all-together, too! Classic Megh! Marc proposed on June 6th, 2020 in front of her family with her beloved dog, Odin, by her side at her favorite nature preserve in Connecticut.
Marc has been vacationing at the 1000 Acres Ranch Resort with family and friends for over 18 years. Recently, Megh and her family have joined in on that tradition. We couldn't think of anywhere we would rather commemorate our big day than at the Ranch! We are excited to share it with you all.
We are inviting our friends and family to join us for a long autumn weekend before our wedding at a rustic resort along the Hudson River in the heart of Adirondacks!
