Florence drives on the right—just like the U.S.—but keep in mind most rental cars are manual (stick-shift), so if you're not comfortable with that, reserve an automatic early. Sixt has emerged as the top choice for car rentals in Italy. Instead of picking up your vehicle in the major cities—where traffic can be overwhelming—it’s better to arrange your rental from a location outside the urban centers. We’re also exploring shuttle options for the whole party, so if anyone feels uneasy driving abroad, we can all travel together with ease.
