FAQs

If you have any questions that are not listed here, shoot an email to malnmattsbeachparty@gmail.com
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know whether or not you plan to attend by September 1 at the latest. The sooner, the better!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

As a cohabitating couple in our 30s, we don't want for much! In lieu of gifts, we ask our guests to consider contributing to one of the charitable organizations listed on our Registry page, either in our names or in your own. If you would prefer to give a gift that benefits us directly, we've also listed our Adventure Van Upgrade Fund, which will help us finish outfitting our camper van.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is scheduled for 4pm, so we recommend arriving by 3:45 to ensure you can be seated and settled before it begins. We've rented the Sunset Beach Pavilion from 1pm to 10pm that day, so other than the ceremony itself, feel free to come and go from the event as you please.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Just wear whatever you feel comfortable and confident wearing to a day at the beach.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, if you RSVP before September 1, but please note the +1 in your RSVP. Attendance cap on this baby is supposed to be 50, so we're doing our best to stay under that.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. The parking lot south of the pavilion is reserved from 1pm to 10pm the day of the event.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Because most of our guests will be local or staying on Sunset Beach, we have not pre-booked any transportation for the ceremony. If you need recommendations or assistance for getting to and from the ceremony, let us know by contacting us at the email address above.

Question

Can I take pictures with my phone during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you please refrain from using your phone camera during the ceremony, and let our amazing photographer work her magic! Feel free, however, to take as many pictures as you want during the rest of the party.

Question

What's the drinks situation?

Answer

Canned beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided for our guests on a self-serve basis. Guests with specific tastes are invited to BYOB. If you bring your own drinks, please make sure they are in cans or plastic bottles, as no glass containers are allowed on the beach.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

November on the Florida Gulf Coast is typically warm with low humidity and low chances of rain, so we have our fingers crossed for great weather!
