Question

What do I need to know about COVID-19 Testing prior to my departure for the US?

Answer

Per the CDC, a negative COVID19 test is NOT required to enter Mexico, only for your return to the US. Per the CDC: If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. The 1-day period is 1 day before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 1-day time frame instead of 24 hours to provide more flexibility to the air passenger and aircraft operator. By using a 1-day window, test acceptability does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test sample was taken. For example, if your flight is at 1pm on a Friday, you could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Thursday. Additional info can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html#aircraft

Question

What if I have recently recovered from COVID-19?

Answer

Per the CDC: If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

Question

Where can I obtain my COVID-19 test prior to my departure for the US?

Answer

COVID tests can be scheduled through Privilege Aluxes front desk or for those not staying at the primary resort, testing is offered right next to the Isla ferry dock.

Question

Answer

Question

Where is the wedding venue? How do we get there?

Answer

Zama Beach Club! We will be providing taxi service that will pick up guests in front of Privilege Aluxes and transport them to the venue. Please be at the hotel no later than 5pm on Saturday February 12.

Question

Is Privilege Aluxes an all-inclusive resort?

Answer

Yes! You can choose if you’d like to have all-inclusive when you book your room or upon your arrival. All inclusive includes all meals, all alcohol, room service and the mini fridge in the bedroom. The food and drinks were delicious and the waitstaff were very kind!

Question

How do I get to the island from the airport?

Answer

CARM shuttle service will meet you at the Cancun airport and bring you to the ferry port. There is a 15 min ferry boat that will take you to the island and back. The ferry runs every half hour.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

No. The island is small and most people can walk or rent a golf cart from the resort if they’d like to explore the island. Otherwise, everything you need is at the resort, and downtown is walking distance from the resort.

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Cancun International Airport.

Question

COVID-19 safety

Answer

Safety is our top priority for our guests. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 recommendations and follow them precisely according to the CDC recommendations. We are hopeful that as more people get their COVID vaccines, the spread will become more controlled. As the wedding date gets closer, we will assess the precautions and keep guests informed here on our website. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. www.cdc.gov
