Wedding Party

Meet our wedding party!

Shannon Poskus

Maid of Honor

Shannon, or Shay, is my oldest sister and therefore had no choice but to know me my entire life. She had the pleasure of babysitting me and my other sister Kenz growing up and I still owe her for all the damage we did to her belongings as children. Aside from being a computer whiz and one of the smartest people I have ever met (you definitely want her on your trivia team), she is an avid speed reader, expert swimmer (even in really cold water), phenomenal baker, and the most dependable and reliable person to have in your corner. Grateful to have her as one of my maid of honors on my wedding day.

Mackenzie Poskus

Maid of Honor

Mackenzie, or Kenz, is my other older sister (by 16 months) and therefore had no choice but to know me my entire life as well. Sometimes mistaken as twins (despite our hair color differences), I attribute my academic success to her as she set the highest of standards to follow and was also my personal live-in tutor. Like Shay, Kenz is an avid fantasy book reader, sit-com aficionado, and one of the smartest people I know. She is a talented gardener, baker, lover of tomatoes and all things related to pasta, and my forever partner in crime. Grateful to have her as one of my maid of honors on my wedding day.

Catalina Descoteaux

Bridesmaid

Catalina and I first crossed paths on the youth sports fields of our hometown Smithfield, RI. However, our friendship was solidified in high school where we found ourselves in many of the same classes (she let me eat her leftover lunch food and I gave her personalized spark notes on the books she was supposed to read for English class), and continued into college as we both studied at the URI College of Pharmacy and spent another 6 years together studying, meeting new friends, and everything in between. Cat isn't just charming with a fantastic smile and laugh, she is also one of the most fiercely loyal and caring friends you could have.

Laryssa Domingo

Bridesmaid

Laryssa and I met freshman year of college (she too is a URI College of Pharmacy alum) as we were lucky enough to be assigned to the same (and best) floor of our freshman college dorm. I invited myself into her dorm room's sit-com marathons and quickly our occasional hangs turned to daily occurrences. This turned into living together sophomore and junior years and quickly she became my trusted confidant, dance floor inspiration, and one of the most compassionate people I know. She has impeccable taste in fashion, home decor, humor, and the people she chooses to spend her time with. Can't wait to dance the night away on the dance floor together.

Alissa Margraf

Bridesmaid

Alissa and I met freshman year of college as a fellow URI College of Pharmacy classmate, but our relationship really blossomed after I had the pleasure of living in a house with her our 5th year of pharmacy school (in Bonnet Point if you are curious). You'll never catch her with less than 5 new hobbies at a time and she shares my love of running, running nutrition, running gear, and nerding out about professional runners. Aside from running, her talents span from being a certified yoga instructor, fearless boogie boarder, best podcast recommender (she has recommended almost all of my favorite podcasts to me over the years), and such a vibrant and lovable person to be around.

Melissa Wright

Bridesmaid

Melissa and I met our first year of pharmacy residency in Connecticut, and I am so lucky she wanted to be my roommate as she is probably the only reason I made it to the second year of residency. She has an infectious laugh, an unbeatable work ethic, and great taste in TV shows. Aside from her mastery of psychiatric pharmacy, she is also a talented knitter and baker, dedicated cat mom, and a 10/10 travel buddy. I was lucky enough to drive the coast of California and explore Zion and the Grand Canyon as her copilot and man can she plan a trip. Her love for wine rubbed off on me years later, and I am looking forward to the next vineyard we can explore.

Lauren Jenness-Kneen

Bridesmaid

Lauren and I went to the same middle and high school, but it wasn't until high school that our friendship took off. It probably was a combination of the live re-enactments of canterbury tales filmed in her yard for English class as well as our shared love of Gilmore girls and nature that brought us together. Even though she has moved away to Vermont, it gives me a wonderful excuse to explore one of the most beautiful states with her as my expert guide. A fellow nature enthusiast, Lauren is also one of the most introspective, whimsical, easy going, and loving souls I know. I can call her anytime to discuss all matters of life and she keeps us both grounded, present, and cheerful.

Alexandra Reardon

Bridesmaid

Alexandra, or Z as I call her, and I met playing soccer together in our hometown of Smithfield, RI, but it wasn't until we both ran cross country in middle school that we became two tall pees in a pod. Our friendship grew into creating embarrassing music videos to "Weird Al" Yankovic songs, eating "baked" cookies (they were only baked for 1 minute), and living in the same Boston neighborhood the past few years where we would walk to local bars, play pickle ball (Z always wins), and meet the various people that have come into and out of our lives. Z is not only a talented athlete at every sport she plays, she is an excellent dog mom, humble genius, and one of the easiest people to hang out and laugh with.

Joe Candler

Best Man

Brendon first met Joe when he was four years old - Joe had just moved to the neighborhood- and they became friends in short order. When they found out they had the same birthday (1 year apart) they started celebrating together and have only skipped a handful of years ever since. In the early years they bonded over fort building, mini golf at Funder Mountain, trips to the Cameo, and getting destroyed by Mike Stoddard at Magic the Gathering. To this day, they continue to reminisce about their shared love of Entourage, specifically Johnny Drama who is objectively the best part of that show.

Derek Pires

Groomsman

Brendon met Derek when he was three years old. It took some adjusting but after a few years they finally started getting along and bonding over a shared love of Nintendo 64 and Nickelodeon. Despite being the older brother, Brendon has always looked up to Derek for his intelligence and work ethic. They continue to spend time together at their childhood home in Weymouth where they take turns beating their parents at various board games.

Luigi J

Groomsman

Brendon met Luigi during his freshman year of college while visiting their mutual friend Scott at the Suffolk dorms. They bonded over a shared love of burritos, music, and dive bars - RIP Pour House. They spent many years in their 20s chasing after the best dive bars in Boston and have been on many adventures together, including trips to Montreal, Cape Cod, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and Nashville.

Justin Marquis

Groomsman

Brendon and Justin have been friends since the early days of college. They lived together a for over a decade and continue to make regular trips to their favorite spot in Cambridge, State Park. They share a love of creativity, art, and video games and together have a flawless 2v2 Rocket League record against their friends Matt and Phil.

Tony Lefebvre

Groomsman

Brendon first met Tony in Junior High through their mutual friend Joe and would later become friends after staying in the same cabin at youth group camp - Good morning Cheyenne! They've spent many a night together tearing up various dance floors across Boston, roasting marshmallows over the campfire at Club Candler, and roaming the campus of UMASS Amherst.

Scott Long

Groomsman

Brendon and Scott's friendship began in high school after attending youth group camp together - another cabin Cheyenne alumna. They share a love of punk rock music and have attended many a concert together. They lived together for several years at the infamous 295 Windsor Street apartment along with a rotating cast of friends, including groomsmen Justin and Luigi. They've been on many adventures together, including road trips spanning both coasts of the continental United States, an Iron Man, and a very interesting voyage down the Saco River in Maine - let's just say "In the Air Tonight" hits a little different ever since. IYKYK.

Stephen Shinney

Groomsman

Brendon and Steve (aka Shinney) first met in high school but started hanging out in the same circle of friends shortly after graduating. They bonded over trips to San Francisco, the Cape, New Hampshire and an infamous night in Boston on the eve of a Red Sox World Series Parade. Together, the pair have kept their friends' holiday traditions alive, including their annual pilgrimage to Dave and Busters on Thanksgiving Eve and their annual Yankee Swap.
