Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will join us down the aisle.

Tina Sundquist

Mother of the Bride

I am so thankful for my mom and all of the support she has given me throughout the years. I would not be the woman I am today without her guidance and love. My mom has been there for me through every hardship, heartbreak and celebration. She is one of kind, and her laugh is the best.

David Sundquist

Father of the Bride

My dad used to stand on the 18 yrd line for me during my soccer games and help me keep time, so that I knew how long was left in the games. He told me that every shot was a clean slate, no matter what had happened the time before. I will always remember that advice. I am so thankful for my dad's support and love.

Katie Nicolich

Maid of Honor

Katie and I have known each other since 7th grade! She is one of my longest friends and our friendship has stayed strong throughout all of life's changes. She is someone I go to for encouragement and guidance. Katie is currently 45 minutes away from me working as a resident in family medicine and I am so grateful that she is closer after living states away from each other for 10 years. Katie is dependable, honest, and super super smart.

Natalie Wiley

Maid of Honor

Natalie and I met in college at the University of Idaho. We are in the same sorority and she is my sorority little. Being matched as big and little is a ranking system, and Natalie and I both ranked each other as number 2. We tell each other, "you'll always be my number 2". Natalie and I are national park buddies and make it a point to explore national parks together! Natalie is passionate, loving, and hardworking.

Hailey Luna-Araza

Matron of Honor

Hailey and I met at our counseling program at NAU. We quickly became fast friends and lived together for a year in Flagstaff. Hailey is someone who always makes me laugh. Though we live in different states we have kept our connection strong by visiting each other about twice a year. I never thought I would fly to Phoenix so often, but I sure am lucky to have such a good friend! Hailey is playful, considerate, and authentic.

Emily Chatburn

Bridesmaid

Emily and I met in seventh grade playing basketball, but our friendship really developed our freshman year of high school. Emily and I refer to each other as "lovebucket" a nickname that we can't quite remember the origin of, but has stuck for over 10 years. Emily and I have shared many bus seats together laughing, or making up songs. Our friendship has withstood the test of both distance and time! Emily is brave, outgoing, and thoughtful.

Nina Sanyal

Bridesmaid

Nina and I met in Flagstaff when we were both attending NAU for our Masters. We then became roommates and bonded over our love of staying up late and watching "Shameless" together. Nina is a friend I can always count on for support and validation. We stay connected through facetime, mostly when Nina is driving home from work, and on trips to visit one another. Nina is empathetic, hilarious, and reliable.

Delia Boyd

Bridesmaid

Though Delia and I ran in similar circles in high school and were actually in Flagstaff at the same time, our friendship really began when we both moved back to Sandpoint in 2021, a day apart from each other. Delia and I love to hike, paddle board, camp and craft. I can always count on her for a laugh and I am so happy she lives in Sandpoint! Delia is adventurous, caring, and genuine.

Lydia Welp

Bridesmaid

Lydia and I crossed paths only a few years ago when she began to date my brother, Paul. She quickly became part of the family! I am so thankful to be having a sister's support on my wedding day, especially one as supportive as Lydia. We love to ski and go out on the lake together. She also has the best thrift finds. Lydia is giving, kind, and funny.

Paul Sundquist

Officiant

Paul was the obvious choice as an officiant, who else knows us better? Paul and I have been close throughout our lives, and it has been such a joy to witness Sam's friendship with Paul. In fact, sometimes I think I am the third wheel with the two of them.

Winnett Chin

Mother of the Groom

My mother is the reason I was able to get my childhood dog, Rachel, from outside a Safeway in 2011. We were grocery shopping and someone was giving away puppies, and I managed to convince my mom that we absolutely needed one. Rachel was the best dog the Chin family ever had, and without my mom's blessing she never would have come into our lives. Thanks Mom!

Timothy Chin

Father of the Groom

My dad and I have something in common, and that is fixing cars. Dad has quite the setup and has assisted me numerous times when I bring home a lemon. He also helped Makayla multiple times, including towing her car all the way from Port Townsend, and then towing it to the Subaru dealership after the first mechanic turned out to be pretty sketchy. Dad really came in clutch that day. Thanks Dad!

Mathew Roebke

Best Man

Matt and I's friendship started right out of high school when Matt asked me to help him film a movie he was working on. We spent the summer after high school hanging out 3-5 times a week driving all around the Puget Sound to gather footage. He has always had my back and I am thankful for his consistent support. Our friendship shares a passion for creative projects, snow sports, and adventures.

Dylan Blair

Groomsman

Dylan and I met at Washington State University through his roommates, Ryan and Tyler. Our friendship grew throughout college, Dylan accompanied us on the U of I famous Bovil Run, and once graduated Dylan and I have remained close friends, especially because we have the same taste in music. We have gone on six ski trips together, in four different states and Canada. I'm grateful that Dylan is not only a groomsman, but also one of my best friends.

Farzan Ghodsi

Groomsman

Farzan and I were introduced at Tyler, Ryan and Dylan's apartment. With very different degrees and interests our friendship is unlikely, however, it really grew in 2020 when we played Call of Duty five nights a week together. Our shared passion for snowsports, video games and always "being down to clown" keeps us close friends. In fact, I am affectionally known as Farzan's and Shaiza's third roommate. I am thankful that Farzan is in my life and a part of my big day.

Ryan Anhold

Groomsman

Ryan was my first friend at Washington State University. Ryan introduced himself and invited me to hangout in the dorm commons. Ryan and I also lived in Flagstaff, AZ at the same time and enjoyed skiing Arizona Snowbowl, swimming in the Clear Creek reservoir in Holbrook, and exploring the downtown breweries. Ryan is a very loyal and calm friend, but is always good for a laugh, and has some killer dance moves. Ryan is going to be the life of the party.

Tyler Pierson

Groomsman

Tyler and I became friends through Ryan when he got back from his semester at basic training. Our friendship started when I would barter rides from Tyler to Moscow and in return I would go on beer/liquor runs when Tyler was underage. Tyler and I have a shared passion for hosting and cooking for friends as well as NFL and College football. We both give each other grief if our respective team loses that week, and considering I am a Browns fan and Tyler is a Seahawks fan, I have taken quite a bit.

Ian Andrus

Groomsman

Ian was the first person I ever saw when getting into the Gannon/Golds dormitory. Ian was shirtless playing the bagpipes wandering around the 6th floor. During the 2018 Bovil run (ask me about that story) Ian and I were the only ones not drinking and we carted our friends through Idaho in a Uhaul together, through the ice and snow. Ian and I share a passion for fishing, and spent many days at Spring Valley making sure that Fish and Game weren't lurking around as we were too poor to buy out of state fishing licenses. We stay connected by debriefing every UFC fight, and complaining about our shared displeasure of working in the food industry.

Lochlann Dunn

Groomsman

Lochlann and I were coworkers and Maialina Napoletana Pizzeria in Moscow Idaho. Often reprimanded for having too much fun while working together their friendship grew throughout the years. We recently were able to float the Salt River in AZ this summer, and enjoyed a night playing Big Buck Hunter together. Lochlann and I share the love for winter and golf.
