Like any other love story in this day and age, Sam and I met on Tinder. I was drawn to his down to earth energy, and on his profile he said he was a feminist, which was an immediate yes in my book. Sam remembers that I was interesting, smart, and could hold a conversation, oh, and that I was pretty. After the usual back and forth, we met for our first date on January 21st, 2017 at Roost Coffee in Pullman, WA. I was a little late, typical, and Sam was sitting awkwardly in the very back of the shop. To my surprise, he didn't buy my coffee on that first date, a joke we still share to this day. Sam always says, "well I have bought a lot since then". After our date, I told my roommates that the guy I saw "was weird". But here we are. Since that first date, Sam and I have lived in three states together, both graduated college, explored many national parks, made memories all over the world, and have become adopted parents our cat Monkey. We met for the first time on January 21st, 2017 and made it official on March 10th, 2017. After almost seven years of dating, Sam proposed at my Aunt's beach property in Dover, Idaho. And then to my surprise, threw an engagement party with friends and family! I had to tell him to get down on one knee again because I blacked out the first time. The moon shone beautifully on the water and it was the perfect night. The day after our engagement, Sam had gotten all of our friends ski tickets and equipment so we could share a day together on the mountain. It will be a weekend I will always remember. The thoughtfulness and consideration Sam put into that weekend is one of the many things I love about him. We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding, our time together and all of our friends and family!
