FAQs

We look forward to having you on Martha’s Vineyard to celebrate our marriage. We hope these FAQs can help answer some questions that could come up regarding travel, housing, and general logistics.
Question

When should I book travel and accommodations?

Answer

We strongly encourage that you book travel and housing as soon as possible. If you plan on flying then your best bet is to books flights as far out in advance to ensure the lowest fares. For accommodations, even though September is considered the off season, there are limited hotel options and demand for Airbnb and Vrbo rentals can still be quite high that time of year. If you want to take advantage of our discounted rate room block at the Kelley House Hotel, you must book prior to June 10th. After that date, the rooms will be released and will be standard pricing.

The most common method of transportation to the island is by ferry. For those bringing a car the the Island, the only option is the Steamship Authority ferry departing Wood’s Hole, MA. We have a hotel block for 25 rooms at the Kelley House Hotel. Just mention our wedding (Majane Hildebrandt). The room block will only be held until *June 10th*, so please be sure to book prior to then if you want to get the discounted rate! In general, we recommend staying as close to downtown Edgartown as possible so that you will be within walking distance of the Chappy ferry and celebration.
