FAQs

The Wedding Website of Maggie Hanson and Sam Carlin
More information will be posted as we get closer to the wedding. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Maggie or Sam!
Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We plan to spend as much time outside as possible! Our Friday night welcome event, Saturday ceremony, and cocktail hour will all be outside. Our Saturday reception will be under a tent and dancing in the barn. All events will take place on grass or hardwood, so please consider block heels, wedges, or dressy flats.

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes, there is ample complimentary parking available for weddings at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm. For your convenience, complimentary transportation will be provided from select hotels to and from the Wells Reserve for wedding weekend events.

Question

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! We will have shuttles provided for weekend events, please see the "Trolley Schedule" tab.

Question

What is the dress code for the weekend?

Answer

Friday: Our welcome event will be cocktail attire. Given the Maine seaside setting, we recommend layers and comfortable shoes for walking on grass or uneven ground. Bring a light jacket or wrap in case it gets breezy in the evening! Saturday: We kindly ask our guests to wear formal attire. Suits or sports coats with a tie are perfect for men. For women, think nice dresses or floor-length gowns—whatever makes you most comfortable!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We truly adore your little ones! However due to limited space and the flow of the weekend's events, we are keeping this celebration adults only. We so appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you.

Question

What are the average temperatures in Maine in early June?

Answer

In early June in Wells, Maine, you can expect mildly cool and breezy weather, with average high temperatures around 70°F and lows near 56°F. It's a beautiful time of year for an outdoor celebration—just be prepared for the possibility of a light breeze and cooler evenings.
