We're getting married!

01.10.12 This love story begins in a chemistry lab, with a girl who found herself falling hard for her organic chem TA. It's tough to flirt while wearing safety goggles, but she tried her damnedest. After three months of distractedly botching her distillations and overdressing for office hours, the TA finally realized that the girl was into him. They went out for a drink and some sushi. They couldn't believe how lucky they were to be together, laughing and sharing a meal. Six years later, they still can't.

09.29.17 Maggie arrived at a little wine bar around the corner from her parent’s house on Lake Michigan, expecting to meet Ryan and her family for a drink. She found her parents seated at table, but Ryan was nowhere to be found. The evening wore on. Several chatty neighbors bellied up to the table, and still no Ryan. Unbeknownst to Maggie, they were part of a plot to delay her arrival at the house until sunset. At dusk, an exasperated Maggie made a quick exit from the bar and headed to the house to find Ryan. She pulled into the drive and found it lined with hundreds of glowing luminaries. They continued to the front door, into the front hall, and out to the backyard. She followed the path of little lights down the steps to to the beach and found Ryan waiting for her, holding a ring.
