Maggie & Hunter

Wedding Party

We wouldn't be the couple we are without the people we know. Let us introduce the special people walking down the aisle with us!

John Hallow

Father of the Bride

Kim Hallow

Mother of the Bride

David Tilley

Best Man & Father of the Groom

Christi Tilley

Mother of the Groom

Jessica McClellan

Maid of Honor

I first met Maggie for CPVC practice. Mags (at no surprise to anyone) was destroying balls to the other side. I had never seen anyone hit that hard, I thought I was going to die. Sure enough, I heard a voice call out "Take it easy Maggie, don't kill them". She listened to Mrs. Kim that day but has killed me in workouts ever since (specifically that time we planked to an 3-minute Taylor Swift song). From our early days at CPVC to traveling to Dallas for the National Championship to winning our own State Championship at JH Rose Maggie has not only been driven in volleyball but our friendship as well. The first person I call for good news, bad news, and advice I am so thankful to have a best friend in Maggie Hallow! I am so excited to see what this next chapter holds for her and Hunter!

Hunter Johnson

Groomsman

The first time I met Hunter was of course at a party in Greenville in 2017 my first year at ECU. Conversation starts the same way it does every time you meet another guy named Hunter we asked if each other hunted and fished and we hit it off from there. Didn’t know that was going to turn into becoming best friends in college hence why your number is still saved in my phone as "Hunter Tilley Greenville" even though you’ve told me change it 100 times. Since then, we’ve been to more parties than we can count and made a lot of good memories as well as some we probably don’t remember. I am thankful to be able to call Hunter and Maggie two of my best friends and glad I’m able to be a part of their special day.

Meagan Colie

Bridesmaid

Maggie and I began as cousins but became friends through our love of horses, dogs, and horror movies. We grew up playing with toy horses and put on shows at the beach with our stick-horses. Eventually we retired the stick-horses and started riding real horses. Our Moms frequently bridged the gap between Maryland and NC so that we could see each other. When Maggie started bringing Hunter around and I heard he had horses I knew he was a good one! After seeing how he treated Maggie and made her laugh, I knew he was the one. Now we live closer and still obsess over horses, GSDs, and watch horror movies. We also say that we will own neighboring horse farms and ride all the time. I’m pretty sure Hunter knows that’s part of the deal. I can’t wait to stand by them on their special day

Gunner Tolston

Groomsman

I met Hunter about four years ago in Greenville through mutual friends. Because we shared similar interest in many different things including hunting, fishing, tailgates, and working out, we immediately became close friends. No matter what we would find ourselves doing together we were mostly not catching fish or watching ducks fly away. Hunter would always find a way to make everyone involved have a good time, and usually everyone would end up crying tears of laughter. I’ll always know that any amount of time can go by without seeing or talking to Hunter, and I can call and we can pick up right where we left off like we saw each other yesterday. Hunter is a true friend, a real brother to me, and I can’t wait to celebrate him and Maggie on their special day.

Caroline Kuhn

Bridesmaid

While winning a state championship alongside your best friend is pretty cool, my favorite memories with Maggie actually happened in the McDonald’s parking lot in Firetower Road in Greenville. It was our go-to spot in high school every time either of us needed to vent about something or sing to loud music at the top of our lungs. We ranted about a lot of stupid boys in that parking lot while sipping on our delicious caramel iced coffees, and I’m so glad that those many late-night girl talks ultimately landed her with someone as great as Hunter! Maggie has made me a better version of myself since the day we became friends, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two!

Tanner Tolston

Groomsman

Hunter and I met at East Carolina at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Once Hunter found out through conversation that I worked at Overton’s in Greenville and I could get discounts on everything in the store, we were instantly friends. We started going to the gym together, hunting together and hitting the downtown bars together. I taught hunter how to work out and shoot guns in exchange for my discounts at Overton’s. Hunter is one of my best friends that I continue to talk to from ECU and I am honored to be a part of Maggie and Hunter’s special day together.

Meredith Colhoun

Bridesmaid

I met Maggie our junior year of college, but I had heard great things about her when we played club volleyball in the same area. We were paired to coach a volleyball team together in 2018. I was intimidated and nervous to meet Maggie because of her outstanding reputation in the volleyball world, but excited to learn from her and get to know her. That season we had many laughs, road trips, and frustrations, but I am grateful for it because it brought me one of my best friends. I miss the time we spent together and regret taking it for granted now that we are so far apart, but still think of her when 9-5 comes on and can hear her singing every word. She is one of the most dedicated, loyal, and caring friends I have & I am so excited for her and Hunter.

Chance Faulkner

Groomsman

Hunter and I met in high school while playing baseball together. It didn’t take long before we became close friends by the end of senior year. Since then, we have kept up through a lot of changes in life. From going off to college to starting new careers, our friendship has grown stronger and Hunter has become like the brother I never had. When I met Maggie, I could see how happy she made Hunter and knew the two were meant for each other. Over the years, we have been able to make some great memories together like when I was able to spend time with them on their trip to Asheville a few years ago. The friendship I have with both is one that I will always be grateful for. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the life they are creating together. Congrats you 2, can’t wait to celebrate

Anna O'Brien

Bridesmaid

I met Maggie at ECU in our University Physics class. Taco soup nights, late night library study sessions and coffee dates got us through that class. After our final exam she convinced me to go to one of the downtown clubs for the first time ever! Over the years our friendship has grown as she is one of my best friends. I am so happy that she has found an amazing guy like Hunter and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Kevin Johnson

Groomsman

Hunter and I met in the 8th grade and he became one of my first friends in a new school. Despite going to different high schools, colleges, and moving away from home, Hunter has always been a friend I can rely on. We’ve shared plenty of beers together and have a lot of memories. One memory I’ll never forget is our trip to Uwharrie where a certain rzr got a little torn up. Love you man and I can’t wait to celebrate y’all on your special day!

Karson Nelson

Bridesmaid

When I started dating Johny, I was excited to find out that he had a sister. When I got the chance to meet Maggie, intimidated was an understatement; she was a star athlete, brilliant beach babe that had her whole life in order! However, Maggie is also the most thoughtful & consistent person I know; a friend that always shows up (early) & holds her friends accountable. Whether it’s responding to texts past her bed time or making me go on runs, she’s giving her best and expecting our best. I was so excited when Hunter came around; he helped normalized our “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” lifestyle. They have shown me all the love in the world & have shown each other love that is patient, forgiving, and loyal. I am so excited for y’all’s future together am so thankful I get to celebrate with you!

Johny Hallow

Groomsman

I first met Hunter a few years ago when he started dating Maggie. Although he immediately fit in with our family, I didn’t realize that we would become as good of friends as we are today. Over the years, our friendship has grown stronger through beach trips, late night cigars, and adventures to the gulf stream. I’m excited that Hunter will be joining our family, and I could not be happier for him and Maggie

Brooklyn Smith

Bridesmaid

I only met Maggie a year ago, but it feels like a decade (time flies when you’re having fun!!). We both went through the ECU engineering program but didn’t get to know each other until we started working at Pfizer. I’ve never become so close to someone so quickly before, so I knew this was a friendship that was going to last, and I am truly thankful for that. I have never met someone as dedicated and driven as Maggie, whether it is at work, playing volleyball, or lovin’ Hunter. Does her drive stress her out at work??? Mayyyybe… but that’s what I’m here for ;) Hunter and Maggie’s relationship is something that I strive to find one day… the love they share is honestly out of a fairytale book. I am more than excited to celebrate this love with them on their special day!!

Austin Morrow

Groomsman

The day I met Hunter, I had to be held down by a nurse, my father, & Pawpaw to retrieve a pretzel stick I shoved up my nose. In the room next door, Hunter had just been born. Hunter & I are first cousins & I am 2 years older than him. I remember all the countless memories we made at Pawpaw’s house getting into all kinds of trouble. I was never the one who was in trouble; I blamed Hunter for everything I did. We went to the same High School & the mischief continued even more after I got my license. I am very thankful for the many memories we have shared together. When Hunter first told me about Maggie, I was ecstatic for him. Meeting Maggie shortly after, I could see how happy they made each other, they are truly soulmates. I am so happy for the both of them & can’t wait to celebrate them!

Nicole Spell

Bridesmaid

Maggie is probably the most self-driven person I’ve ever met. Her passion and energy are what make her such a shining light in a room full of crowded people. I’ve only known Maggie for a short time when she worked in my department at work, but it seems like we’ve been close for ages. She always knows how to bring about a laugh and sincerely cares about others around her. When she invited me over to watch the Superbowl with her and Hunter, I was a little nervous, but I’ve never felt more comfortable and welcomed by a couple and their friends. Hunter was just as sincere and as bright as Maggie was, so I knew they we’re meant for each other. I’m so excited to be able to stand by two wonderful people on their special day.

Louise Meier

Flower Girl

We met Louise when her grandparents moved into the beach house behind Kim & John. Her parents, Doug & Ginny, regularly visit with their 3 precious girls Mary Evans, Louise, & Madeline. We have spent many summer days the last few years boogie boarding, swimming, & entertaining Louise and her sisters. They even share their beach snacks with us. We knew we wanted her to be our flower girl because she’s our sweetest beach friend and the cutest little girl. We are so thankful for Louise & her family for being in our lives and letting her be a part of our day!

Bandit Hallow Tilley

Ring Bearer

It’s no secret to anyone that Bandit is a best friend and child to us, not a dog. We got Bandit after dating less than a year and we don’t know how we ever survived without him. Sure he takes up the entire bed, loves his ball more than us, and pretends we don’t feed him but we wouldn’t have him any other way. Lucky for us he’s a pretty well-behaved boy (hopefully) and can carry our rings down the aisle to be a part of his Mommy & Daddy’s day!
