Explore Uptown:

Kingston, NY holds a lot of history. You can sign up for formal tours at the Senate House. Make sure to check out "the four corners" near Rough Draft which is the oldest original 4 buildings in the country. Walk around uptown to check out old buildings, the Senate House, and lots of cute shops. Some favorites below. -Rough Draft (coffee, books, bar) -Exit nineteen (home and goods store) -Hamilton and Adams (men and women's clothing) -Lovefield vintage (vintage women's clothing) -Sweet Maresa's (bakery) -Kingston Bread (coffee and bakery, lunch)

Uptown Restaurants:

-Santa Fe -Lola's Pizza -Brickmen -Front Street Tavern -Stella's -Buns

Explore Downtown:

Downtown Kingston is along an outlet of the Hudson River and has some great spots too! Some ideas below: -Brunette Wine Bar -Rosie's Cafe for brunch/lunch and local grocer vibes -Dolce for brunch/lunch with specialty crepes -Half Moon Donuts for excellent donuts, pastries, coffee -Walk along "the strand" -Check out the Maritime Museum -Clove and Creek for home goods shopping -Kingston Wine Co. for local wines -Milne Antiques

Hikes/Walks: -Ashokan Rail Trail (Ashokan, NY on the way to Woodstock. Multiple different parking areas to grab the 20+ mile rail trail along the reservoir. Good views and great for walking, running, biking) -Overlook Mountain (Woodstock, NY. Short but steep hike. Old hotel ruins 3/4 way up, fire tower overlooking the Hudson Valley at the top) -Ferncliff Forest (Rhinebeck, NY. Short, casual. Fire tower at the top overlooking the Hudson River) -Poet's Walk (Rhinebeck, NY. Flat walking trails through rolling hills with Hudson River views) -Mohonk Mountain House (multiple different paths and hiking trails of different lengths and difficulties on/near the grounds of the large hotel. Steeper parking/entry fee) -Kaaterskill Falls (Elka Park, NY. Short but steep hike, famous double waterfall scene. MUST be careful and have proper footwear for more treacherous trails)
