It is recommended that guests arrive by 4:20pm. The Ceremony starts at 4:30pm.
We’re planning a very stylish celebration and would love for you to dress the part in formal attire! The vision is a floral, garden-inspired vibe with suits or tuxedos for gentlemen and gowns or chic dresses for ladies.
Yes! All wedding events, including the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception will be on grassy turf surfaces. Most importantly... even the dancefloor will be on the turf grass!
Yes, the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception are all on Botanica's grounds.
The provided shuttle will depart from the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort promptly at 3:30pm. Following the Reception, the shuttle will depart the venue at approximately 10:30pm, arriving to downtown Carlsbad at approximately 11:00pm. If you prefer to book your own ride, Lyfts and Ubers are readily available in the Carlsbad/Oceanside area. And if you choose to drive, plenty of parking is available at the venue. However, all cars must be picked up from the property by 10:00am the following morning.
We love your children, but for this occasion we’ve chosen to make our Ceremony and Reception adults-only. Pour a drink, relax, and enjoy a night out!

Yes! However; keep in mind that Carlsbad is approximately 50 minutes from San Diego International Airport in the morning, and longer later in the day. The airport does have all the standard amenities you should expect at modern airports these days (i.e., TSA Pre-Check, Clear). Additionally, Terminal 2 includes the Chase Sapphire lounge. The airport security line typically moves pretty fast but it would be best to arrive approximately 1.5 hours prior to your scheduled departure time.
