Travel
Most guests will be driving to the San Juan Islands.
If driving, head to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal and take the Washington State Ferry to Friday Harbor (about 1–1.5 hours). Roche Harbor is a 20-minute drive from Friday Harbor. Ferry reservations for May typically open a few months in advance and fill quickly. We recommend booking as soon as they become available, including your return trip. We suggest choosing earlier or midday sailings and arriving at the terminal at least 1 hour early before departure.
A few guests may be flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac). From there, you can take the Bellair Airporter Shuttle to Anacortes or rent a car to reach the ferry terminal.
For a faster option, Kenmore Air offers seaplane flights directly to Roche Harbor from SeaTac airport.
We recommend planning travel early and allowing extra time for ferry timing and island connections!
