All of the events of the wedding weekend will still take place, rain or shine! The rain in Michigan this time of year is scattered with short showers, so there won't be rain for too long, if at all! The majority of Wedding Day will take place indoors for guests and there will be changes made to the ceremony if necessary. Rain on your wedding day is good luck, right?!
Yes! We will be hosting Welcome Events on Saturday, the day before the wedding. Details for all events will be provided in the Schedule section of our wedding website!
Yes! Both our ceremony and reception will be held at Gable Hill in Marcellus, Michigan. The ceremony spot is within feet of the reception area. We cannot wait for our guests to enjoy this beautiful space with us!
Absolutely! If you would like to drive yourself to the wedding and use Uber/Lyft or carpool when leaving, the venue allows overnight parking. Gable Hill just asks that you retrieve your car by 10:00am the next morning, Monday September 22nd, to prevent fines or towing.
Yes, it does! However, the venue is in smalltown Michigan, so the wait times are slightly longer. We also encourage designated driving and carpooling, even if that means getting to know another wedding guest!
If you submitted this information when completing your RSVP, the couple informed the catering company of these allergies and restrictions. Please identify yourself to the catering staff when you arrive to the buffet.
Think of a nice date night! Nothing too fancy, but something you feel nice and comfortable in, like business casual. Please still AVOID wearing colors typically reserved for the bride (white, ivory, eggshell, etc.)!
We would love to see our friends and family dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal dress code for the wedding. Fall colors are encouraged due to the time of year and landscape (maroon, navy, forest green, brown, etc.)! Please AVOID wearing colors typically reserved for the bride (white, ivory, eggshell, etc.)!
The ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be held indoors. Guests are welcome to spend time outdoors throughout the evening, as the barn doors will remain open. There is a fire pit outdoors and many seating areas both inside and outside for our guests to enjoy!
During the day, we can expect the high to be in the 70's and at night, the low to be in the 50's. Such a beautiful time of year! If you're from Florida, a jacket or shawl wouldn't hurt to have just in case you get chilly.
Firstly, thank you so much for traveling the distance to celebrate with us! The accommodation information will be under the Travel section of our wedding website. If the hotels are not of interest, there are many bed & breakfast lodgings and cute Air BNBs in the area as well!
We love your little ones! However, due to the nature of the weekend, we have decided to keep our wedding events adults only. If you will be bringing infants and require an additional room for the caretaker, please inform the couple, so they can increase hotel blocks if necessary.
Due to limited space and preferences for the wedding, we are only able to accommodate those formally addressed on the invitation.
The RSVP feature is right here on our wedding website! Please navigate to the RSVP section to notate your response to both the Welcome Dinner and Wedding Ceremony/Reception. The RSVP deadline is July 21st, 2025.
