The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful and contain a variety of beautiful flowers. They were largely redesigned at the start of the 20th century, with the valuable input of the English gardener Vita Sackville-West. Villa Cimbrone is considered among the most important examples of the English landscape and botany culture in South of Europe.
Unlike the majority of towns on the Amalfi Coast, Ravello sits high up on a mountain and overlooks the sea and towns along the coast. Because of this, in order to get to a beach, you would have to take a taxi or bus down to either the city of Castiglione, Amalfi, Minori, or Maiori. Take the time to explore these towns for the day and spend some time at the beach! Castiglione is approximately 13 minutes from Ravello by car. Amalfi is approximately 15 minutes from Ravello by car. Minori is approximately 10 minutes from Ravello by car. Maiori is approximately 25 minutes from Ravello by car.
