Our wedding planners let us know that there are no places to rent a tux , you can only buy a tux at the local shops (however it does take sometimes weeks). If you plan to wear a tux, it is best to rent or buy before you travel. Reminder that the dress code is "Black- Tie Optional" and we also welcome dark colored suits.
It will be perfect spring weather in the daytime, and cool at night! Expect 70’s during the day and high 50's low 60’s in the evening with the occasional breeze. Please plan your dress code accordingly, and don't forget to bring a coat/jacket, as the night can get quite chilly. There is also a chance of rain in April and May. If you plan to go to the beach, the sea water will be quite cold but we still enjoyed ourselves last May and took a few dips.
Absolutely! We would love for you to take photos/videos and share them with us. If you post, don't forget to tag @chooseyourglow so we can relive it. ;) However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we have a professional photographer and videographer who will take care of that. We just want you to live in the moment with us!
We definitely recommend getting euros before you come to Italy. Lots of places take cards, but smaller shops and cafes prefer cash. ATMs are around, but you should know your bank's exchange rate fees. We find it is cheaper to take out euros at your bank beforehand.
In order to get to the wedding venue, you must walk up quite a few steps. We recommend bringing sandals for this portion to make it easier on your feet, however it is still doable in heels. For those who have injuries, there is a service in Ravello called the "chug chug", its basically a guy on a motorized bike with one chair on the back, and for a fee he will take you to the venue. If you are interested in this service please reach out to our wedding planners info@theamalfiexperience.com and they will assist in getting that scheduled.
We will be providing dinner at both the Welcome Party (May 5th) and the Wedding (May 6th) but for all other meals we do recommend making reservations especially if you are in a group larger than 2 people. The more popular restaurants book much in advance. When we went last year in May, we were able to be seated by just walking in but sometimes the wait was up to 1-2 hours without a reservation.
