Flight

Airports

For international travel to Puerto Plata, there are two major airports that are relatively close to the most popular destinations. The closest airport is the Gregorio Luperon International Airport (POP), known also as the Puerto Plata Airport. This airport is approximately 20 minutes away from the resort. The second airport, located approximately 45 minutes to an hour away, is Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago. You may want to compare prices to each airport to see which one is more economical. *If you are flying into STI, please be sure to double check with Whitney or the hotel about airport transfers. There are taxis available in the airport, however, I highly recommend you book an airport transfer with a company. *Airport shuttle is included if you are flying into POP airport. See below for more information regarding shuttle.
