June 24, 2023 we found ourselves in line at skeeps, a local college bar. We chatted in line, discovered we were both queer, and soon after we were dancing with our friends inside. After a half-pitcher of dirty shirley, Erika walked up to Maddie and said "I'm kinda drunk, but can I kiss you?". Of course, Maddie said yes and they spent the rest of the night together, laughing and smiling. After leaving the bar, they walked to the river and swam under the stars. If you ask Maddie, she'd say she fell in love with Erika that night.
