ORIGIN STORY: 

Zach and Maddie met during the first week of college at UC Santa Barbara, living one floor apart in the Santa Catalina dorms. Their first encounter happened at the Freshman Pool Party when Maddie spotted Zach in a Doctor Who shirt, sparking a conversation about their shared love for theater. Little did she know, Zach was about to trade in his theater dreams for a chemistry degree! A few days later, they had dinner as part of their floor group, and Zach remembers thinking, “I’m totally going to be obsessed with this girl.” A few weeks later, they became official on October 5th, 2013—at a performance of Macbeth, no less! And, as they say, the rest is history!
