we have discussed at length & have concluded that this was the night we officially fell in love. it was st. patrick's day and we went out to dropkick murphy's for what i call "irish new year"

this happened moments before a swan hissed and charged at kieran. he asked me to be his girlfriend that night, and i took the train back down to london for my flight the next day :')

fast forward a few months, i flew into london, took the train to edi, and the next day kieran took me to his hometown to meet the family. I WAS SO NERVOUS. and i immediately fell in love with it all.

we went out to sapphires that night in middlesbrough. the lore is deep.

spent some really special time with ron, kieran's grandad, and michelle, kieran's mam. it was such a unique pleasure to get to meet him. i have always wished kieran could meet my nonna & nonno.

kieran's parents took us to the orange pip market, which is held in the town square. we had the loveliest time walking around and trying so much delicious food and beverages.

sunday brunch at acklam hall! what an estate! i felt entirely underdressed.

I was tying my shoelace in the lift, before we hit the streets of SF for a night out that left us at an afters in a flat with a terrace overlooking downtown SF. Shelby's face says it all.

An interesting bridge fact prompted this reaction. What it was is now lost to time, you'll have to go on a Red & White Fleet trip to find out. I do love a bridge though (ask my parents)

Mads saw two dolphins on this boat trip, and I didn't. She booked this last minute as a surprise and we both had such a great time

Won't lie, this is a very fun but also slightly unnerving experience, hanging onto the outside of a moving streetcar. Especially since they stop in the middle of a crossroads for you to get off

Our second venture up to SF, we spent a day seeing all the further out sights, including a lovely patisserie and a restaurant we'd seen on TikTok, but the views from over the Bay were something else

Of course I, a massive hipster, had to go see Twin Peaks. Damn fine views. Another lovely day curated by Madeline, with all the things she was excited to show me from her life in the Bay.
