Where to Stay

Below are hotels & bnbs our castle coordinator recommended in the area. Sadly, there is not one option that could fit everyone as this is rural Scotland. Thirlestane is a 50-minute drive from Edinburgh's airport or around a 2-hour tram/bus ride. We will help provide transportation for the ceremony once we know where everyone is staying. Uber is not available once at the castle or in the surrounding area, only from the airport to the castle. You can hire a car/taxi in advance or rent a car. Many of these places are small hotels/inns with limited availability so we highly recommend securing lodging ASAP if you'd like to be as close to the castle as possible.
