Delicious pies, quiches and pastries! Up the street from Scotties pizza so we like to get both in the same afternoon.

A trendy, delicious breakfast spot with a variety of food, mimosas, and casual family atmosphere.
Pip's Original Doughnuts & Chai
Maddy’s favorite doughnut shop! Portland famous for their mini donuts that are hot golden and crispy on the outside with a soft inside. Whatever their current seasonal flavor is always going to be delicious. Usually in August they have a specialty jam that fits with what fresh fruit is in season. Maddy always gets some of her favorite - sea salt and honey (with salty peanut butter drizzle and coconut both from their secret toppings menu 😉). their instagram has current flavors and business hours: @pipsoriginal

While there are many food cart pods in Portland, the Asylum has unique character is a common M&Z spot for dates and quick bites.

Another common Z&M date spot, this historic venue is usually showing a good mix of current releases and classics, with pizza and a bar. Great way to kill a weekday evening.
McMenamins Kennedy School
Built out of an old school in NE Portland, this houses a restaurant, many small, themed bars, and Zach’s & Maddy’s favorite soaking pool (reserve a 30 minute soak ahead of time, you won’t regret it!)
