Things To Do

We're so thankful so many of you are traveling so far to be with us in our hometown. This place means so much to us, and we are excited to share the places that are home to us, with you.

Beans n Cream Coffeehouse

345 Cannery Square, Sun Prairie, WI 53590
, (608) 837-7737

Maddie's favorite coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Sun Prairie. We've had many a coffee date here, & Ryan knows that the way to Maddie's heart is a miel latte & breakfast burrito from Beans.

Culver's

1501 West Main Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590
, (608) 825-2122

The site of our first date (we were 16 and from Wisconsin, it was iconic). Stop by for our favorite custard & some cheese curds.

Full Mile Beer Company & Kitchen

132 Market Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590
, (608) 318-2074

Right in our hometown, it hits all the requirements for a great Wisconsin brewery: lots of taps, amazing Friday night fish fry. Don't just take Ryan's word for it.

Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

1 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 261-4000

This is a Madison landmark that you just can't miss. With unbeaten views of the capital and lake Monona plus distinct Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, it is quintessential Madison. For a bonus, recreate Maddie & Ryan's favorite prom pictures on the roof.

The Old Fashioned

23 North Pinckney Street, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 310-4545

Old Fashioned's cheese curds and an old fashioned simply can't be beat.

Banzo

2105 Sherman Avenue, Madison, WI 53704
, (608) 441-2002

If Maddie could only eat one thing for the rest of her life. it would be Banzo.

Grampa's Pizzeria

1374 Williamson Street, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 283-9580

If you know us, you know we love pizza (Ryan was a pizza delivery boy in high school after all). Go to Grampa's if you're craving local thin crust pizza in a cozy atmosphere. If the wait is long, pop over to their sister bar (Gibs house) for a cocktail in a restored home while you wait.

Memorial Union Terrace

800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53706
, (608) 265-3000

Another iconic Madison landmark (this time on the other lake!) walk through UW campus to the student union on Lake Mendota. You can't stop by without also picking up a scoop of Babcock Ice Cream (ice cream made by UW's agricultural students!). Ryan recommends the chocolate chip cookie dough. Maddie recommends the orange custard chocolate chip if you're feeling adventurous and the chocolate peanut butter if you're not.

Tavernakaya

27 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 286-1548

Incredible sushi, Asian fusion, and cocktails. A classic special occasion stop for Maddie and Ryan, it was the first 'just us lunch' we had to celebrate being engaged.

The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company

123 East Doty Street, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 284-0000

Wisconsin isn't Wisconsin without a couple breweries. A little more home-style (Maddie LOVES their Mac and Cheese) and brews that quite simply declisus.

Madison Sourdough

916 Williamson Street, Madison, WI 53703
, (608) 442-8009

There was a time when we were eating brunch here almost every time when we were home. Their eggs benedict changed our lives.

For all the days along the way
