Their freshman year of college, Amanda wanted a dinner buddy but was alone so she gave herself a pep talk and decided to ask someone from her dorm to dinner. Mackenzie's door was open and she was at her desk. Filled with anxiety (her words), Amanda said, "would you want to come to Gwinn with me?" Mac said yes, and they've been friends ever since.

Abby and Colby met at the bottom of some stairs in high school, both waiting long after school ended to get picked up by parents. A shared love of hockey, good music, and good humor sparked a now lifelong friendship.
Eve Burkhart

Mac and Eve first bonded over their shared hobby of running, it wasn't for another 3+ years that they realized they ran the exact same half marathon in 2018, before even living in the same city. Then, Eve learned how to rock climb and now Mac and Eve had another hobby in common that they could do together. Eve is now one of the most consistent friends Mac has, and an incredible climbing partner.

Ben and Colby became quick friends senior year of high school, bonding over Star Wars, Marvel, and Lord of the Rings. Living together in college and beyond has only strengthened those bonds, adding politics, video games, and cocktails.
Hannah Evans

Mac and Hannah met their freshman year of college doing a volunteer program that we don't talk about anymore. Their sophomore year, they went to a City and Colour concert together and that was when their friendship truly took off; turning into hours of laying on the floor of Hannah's dorm room, eating Trader Joe's snacks, and learning and growing together in many many ways. They were roommates for 3 years in/after college and have gotten even closer since graduating and becoming adults together.

Braden is Colby’s favorite (and only) brother. They have been close for as long as they have both been alive, playing make-believe, video games, and sports together.

Mac and Katie met because of their shared enthusiasm for Joseph Roberts (Katie's now husband) and they became friends because of their shared enthusiasm for rock climbing, coffee, and reading books in the sun.
Brandon Holper

Brandon first knew Colby as “Colby Crossbar” during freshman year football in high school, since only them two had crossbar guards on their helmets. Many years living together in undergrad and beyond brought them together to be close friends, with a deeply shared love of cooking and Dungeons and Dragons.
Sam Skillern

The day that Mac and Sam met, they saw Captain America: Civil War and that was the day that Sam learned just how much Mac loves Spider-Man because as soon as he arrived on screen, she started crying. Since then, the two of them have seen many more Marvel movies and Sam has seen Mac cry a whole lot more. Sam also wears the hat of "how many roles can one person have" as they have been on volunteer staffs, coworkers, and housemates.

Kyle is the cousin Colby spent the most time with growing up, having sleepovers since before they can remember. Sleepovers were replaced by making YouTube videos together, which was in turn replaced by nights out in downtown Campbell.

Barclay came into our lives on October 17, 2021 when we picked him up from the airport and immediately fell in love with him. Ever since, he's been the perfect companion on good days and bad days, hikes, and long drives. He loves pup cups, cuddles, and ripping apart toys.

Meeting freshman year of college, Molly and Colby bonded over a shared love for Doctor Who, children, and musicals. Two years of living together, many Drunk Disneys, and a 5 year long Dungeons and Dragons campaign later, they stay thick as thieves.
