Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mackenzie Martin and Colby Cumine
There is so much to do in this city that we call home, it is hard to think of all the things that can be done! While there are plenty of travel blogs and websites dedicated to time in Seattle, we'll list some of our favorites here, both touristy and neighborhood secrets. If you want any good hikes outside of the city, let us know! We have plenty :)

Washington Park Arboretum

2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, WA 98112

A gorgeous stroll right by the wedding venue (in fact, the same agency oversees both)! If you enjoy leisurely strolls through tended gardens and plants, this is a great (free) place to visit. The Japanese gardens cost extra, but are a treat.

University Village

2623 Northeast University Village Street, Seattle, WA 98105

A large shopping center full of national and local chains alike, the U Village has food, treats, clothes, make-up, and drinks a small walk from the venue.

University District Farmers Market

5031 University Way Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105

The University District Farmer's Market is on Saturday mornings, if you want something close to do before the ceremony.

Morsel

5000 University Way Northeast, Seattle, WA 98105

A great option for breakfast sandwiches in University District!

Bale Breaker & Yonder Cider Taproom

826 Northwest 49th Street, Seattle, WA 98107

Our favorite brewery/cider taproom, Yonder has a large outdoor seating area and lots of fun and interesting ciders to try!

Mox Boarding House

5105 Leary Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107

Further out from the venue, Mox is a favorite place of ours. It is a board game cafe, and while the food quality varies, the games are free to play for as long as you like. You don't even have to pay for anything, technically! Employees can give game recommendations and if you choose to buy the game you play, you get a discount.

Sabine Café

5307 Ballard Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107

Cafe by day and bar by night, Sabine is a regular for us. Mac helped paint all the murals on the walls here, and the food and cocktails are fantastic.

Vita at KEXP

472 1st Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109

Our favorite coffee shop nestled in a radio station also in Seattle Center! Great to stop at for high quality coffee before any Seattle Center romps.

Seattle Center

305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109

The heart of Queen Anne and home of the Space Needle, Seattle Center has loads of fun activities. Vita, the Pacific Science Center, the Museum of Pop Culture, and of course tourist destination the Space Needle are all in this walkable center. The different destinations are connected by a beautiful lawn with a large water feature, great for people watching.

Elliott Bay Book Company

1521 10th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122

One our favorite bookshops in the city, located close to the Capitol Hill light rail station. It has two stories (well, lots of stories, but two floors) full of books of all kinds, with plenty of staff recommendations to boot.

Caffé Vita

1005 East Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98122

The location for the actual roastery of our favorite semi-local chain. A good stop before Elliot Bay or any other Capitol Hill adventures. It also features a very cool mural by our officiant!

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

Of course, there is the world famous Pike Place Market, full of vendors, stands, shops, and other fun times to be had in the heart of downtown (the shop Sloth vs Robot is very cute).
