There are many options for traveling to the Roaring Fork Valley. The four major airports near the area are the following:
1. Aspen airport *We highly recommend giving yourself an extra 12- 24hr cushion on both ends of your trip if you're flying into Aspen. Due to the location it is relatively common for flights to be delayed/cancelled due to weather. This is much more common in the winter months but could be a concern with early snow in October.*
2. Eagle/Vail
3. Grand Junction
4. Denver International Airport
We highly recommend that wherever you fly in, you rent a car for your trip. Unfortunately, due to the rural nature of our location, Uber and Lyft are very unreliable, and taxi/shuttle services are also scarce.
There are lots of hotels to be found in Snowmass, and up and down the valley. The closer to Carbondale (or down-valley) you get, the lower the price-point you'll find for lodging. Additionally, there are many Airbnbs/VRBOs to choose from throughout the valley.
