Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dressy-casual and weather-friendly! Our ceremony will be outdoors in August, so it will likely be warm. Please dress comfortably and plan for the heat. Sundresses, breathable fabrics, slacks, button-downs, jumpsuits, boots, or even nice jeans and a flannel are all welcome. Jackets and ties are completely optional. Most importantly—wear something you’ll feel good in while celebrating (and sweating a little) with us!

Why am I only invited to the reception?

Answer

Our outdoor ceremony space holds a maximum of 150 guests. Between our large blended family and a big bridal party, seating fills up quickly, and we simply aren’t able to accommodate everyone for the ceremony. If you’ve received a reception-only invitation, please know it’s purely due to space limitations—not love. We are so excited to celebrate with you at the reception and can’t wait to dance the night away together!

When should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony start time so you have time to park, find a seat, and settle in. We promise it’ll be worth it 😉

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony will be outdoors at the winery in August, so it will likely be warm. We recommend light, breathable fabrics and planning footwear accordingly. If the weather has other plans, we’ll have a backup plan in place and we will move the ceremony indoors at the winery!

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes! There will be parking available at both the winery and the Bates Building. Details will be shared closer to the date if needed.

Music & Late-Night Vibes (Party starts at 8pm!)

Answer

After 8:00 PM, the playlist may shift to some more upbeat (and possibly explicit) favorites. Consider this your friendly heads-up! We’re both sorority and fraternity alumni, so we fully plan on celebrating accordingly. AnchorSMASH energy encouraged (iykyk).

Can I bring a plus one? Are children invited?

Answer

Your invitation and RSVP will list everyone who is invited in your party. Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, you’re welcome to bring them! We just kindly ask that you let us know in advance so we can ensure we have enough seating and food for everyone. We carefully considered our guest list, and plus ones were included where appropriate. Thank you so much for understanding as we plan our day!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us. We fully plan on celebrating big, so bring your dancing shoes and your best moves. After 8 PM, the music may get louder and the vibes may get livelier. Please drink responsibly, plan for a safe ride home, and remember—this night will be heavily photographed 😉
