Oregon Coast Day Trip
Drive about one and a half hour to the beautiful Oregon coast and see the pacific ocean! Head to Cannon beach, a popular coastal town and check out the shops, eat some oysters, walk down the beach, or explore Haystack rock (as seen in the Goonies!)
Short Sands Beach
Check out Short Sands Beach! An easy 1.2 mi hike through the woods that spits you out to a gorgeous beach cove. It's a perfect spot to have a picnic, relax, and watch the local surfers.
Tillamook Creamery
If heading to the coast, the famous Tillamook creamery is a must stop and visit! Take a drive through the coastal mountain range and the beautiful Tillamook state forest where you'll truly feel like you're in the PNW. The creamery is like a Disneyland for cheese lovers. But more refined, because this ain't Wisconsin. They offer a self guided tour and have the best milkshakes and all the cheese curds you can sample!
Multnomah Falls
Go see one of the tallest year-round waterfalls in the U.S.! Located just 30 miles east of downtown Portland along the Historic Columbia River Highway, this huge waterfall is open to visitors of all types with paved trails. Admire the beauty of the Columbia river gorge on the way out.
Forest Park
Portland's Forest Park is one of the largest urban forests in the United States. With more than 80 miles of trails, you can find any level of difficulty or length of trail for some incredible day hiking or trail running without having to leave the city limits.
Visit Domaine Serene Winery
Drive down to the Willamette Valley wine country and check out one of the many vineyard and wineries. Domaine is one of our favorite wineries to visit!
Powell's City of Books
Venture into the authenticity of downtown Portland and visit Powell's flagship, the largest independent book store in the world.
