Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Dressy casual (aka smart casual in Australia) No. This does not just mean casual (Larry). Think of it as the next level up. Please no jeans, cargo shorts, or tennis shoes. The ceremony and parts of the reception will be in the evening, outside. Guests will have to walk on uneven paths and grass at times. Flip flops will be permitted in honor of the Australian's in attendance. It will hopefully be sunny and warm with the sun setting around 8pm. Need examples? Are plus ones allowed? Are Kids welcome?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity within the barn, we have a strict guest capacity and therefore cannot accommodate plus ones. We kindly ask that only the person(s) listed on the invitation attend unless otherwise specified. As previously mentioned, due to venue capacity we are limiting kids to immediate family members only. Take advantage of the opportunity :)

Where do we fly into? How do we get around? Are you doing hotel blocks?

Answer

For those flying from out of town, the airport is Portland International Airport (PDX). The venue is about a 35 minute drive from the airport without traffic. It's about a 45-50 minute drive with traffic. You can certainly get by with ride share apps but if you plan to spend several days, renting a car may be more convenient if you're looking to explore the city or surrounding area (we hope you go explore!). We highly encourage our family and friends to coordinate together to split the costs.

How do I get to the venue? Is there parking?

Answer

There is limited parking available at the property at a first-come, first-serve basis. It is discouraged to leave cars overnight but *not prohibited. The unofficial "overflow" parking is at the Fred Meyer grocery store across the street, its approximately a 5 min walk from the venue. We highly encourage guests to carpool or use ride share apps

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know what allergies or dietary requirement you have in your RSVP, including vegetarian/vegan. We will notify McMenamins and see what they can do to accommodate as needed.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to the number of guests who are coming from out of town, we are requesting you RSVP as soon as possible to help us better plan. Please RSVP no later than Friday, May 30th. You can simply RSVP here on our website, see our RSVP page for instruction.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we would prefer it in the form of cash contribution towards our newlywed fund. However, we have a few select items on our registry we would put to good use if you prefer to pick out a gift. A wedding card box will also be at the reception. Please don’t bring physical gifts to the venue.

What is McMenamins?

Answer

McMenamins is an infamous regional chain in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in the renovation and preservation of historic properties by transforming them into restaurants, bars, music venues, event centers, hotels and more! They also make their own beer, wine, and spirits and will have only their products available at the venue. We can attest- it's all pretty good.
