Our Love Story

We met by chance at a friend’s birthday party—a night neither of us planned to attend. We knew everyone there except each other, but that one unexpected meeting changed everything. After the party, Mabelle followed me on Instagram, and we immediately started talking for hours every day. A few dates later (and several attempts on my part!), she finally became my girlfriend. Our first date was simple and unforgettable: Domino’s pizza, bowling, and a long walk through Geneva. Even though we barely knew each other, the conversation felt natural—like we had known each other for years. When Mabelle met my family, she connected with them instantly, especially with the kids. Seeing her with them made me realize she’d be an amazing mother one day. For her, the feeling grew naturally—through my patience, respect for her boundaries, and the way I always tried to make her feel cherished. Even her parents grew to trust and appreciate our relationship. For years, we couldn’t travel together because of her parents’ rules. Our adventures were short road trips, always ending with me driving her home. We spent countless nights on video calls, living almost like a long-distance couple—but we loved our routine. Everything changed when she finished school and began working as an assistant educator. Her parents finally allowed her to move in with me, and life has felt complete ever since. The proposal happened during a spontaneous trip to Oeschinensee. She was filming herself rowing a small boat when I got down on one knee. She thought I was joking at first, but once she realized it was real, it became one of the funniest and sweetest moments of our lives—caught perfectly on video. What started as an unexpected meeting became the greatest part of our story. Now we’re building the future we’ve always dreamed of, side by side.
