Art Fair on the Square
Taking over the normal Saturday farmer’s market around the capitol, Madison’s 68th annual Art Fair on the Square will take place. Opening at 9AM both Saturday and Sunday, feel free to roam around and look at art, shop, and taste the wonderful menus available on the square for the weekend.
Dane County Farmers' Market
*This is moved to Breese Stevens Field on July 11* Every Saturday morning, the Capitol Square fills with local farmers, fresh flowers, cheese curds, and the smell of warm pastries. It’s the largest producer-only market in the country and a true Madison favorite. Grab coffee and breakfast here before starting your day around town.
Memorial Union Terrace
A Madison classic and one of our favorite spots in town. Grab a drink, sit in a colorful Terrace chair, and watch the sailboats drift by on Lake Mendota. It’s the perfect place to soak up summer in Wisconsin!
Picnic Point
A beautiful trail and shoreline spot along Lake Mendota, perfect for a walk, run, or quiet moment by the water. It’s one of Madison’s most peaceful places, with scenic views of campus and downtown from the tip of the point.
State Street
A lively strip connecting the Capitol to campus, full of shops, cafes, and classic Madison charm. Perfect for a stroll, a bite, or a little people-watching.
