Lynndy grew up in Arizona, where the skies are wide, the boots are dusty, and country roots run deep. Anthony was raised in Michigan, where life was all about family, tradition, and good Italian cooking. On the surface, their worlds couldn’t have been more different—but they both shared a love of hockey. That shared passion led them both to New England: Lynndy to boarding school at Taft in Connecticut, and Anthony to play junior hockey in Marlboro, Massachusetts. In September 2013, Lynndy’s best friend bought her to watch her boyfriend’s hockey game. Anthony was his teammate. After the game, the group went out for dinner, and Lynndy and Anthony quickly hit it off. In the days that followed, they shared messages and visits to each other’s campuses before visiting Boston to celebrate Easter and Lynndy’s 19th birthday at Grill 23. It was their first official date, but it wouldn’t be their last. Even as they went their separate ways for college—Lynndy to Amherst College, Anthony to Suffolk—they stayed in touch. Over the years, they kept a quiet, steady thread between them, sharing videos of birds and cars, life updates, and the occasional laugh from afar. After graduation, they each chased their ambitions. Anthony headed to Florida to grow the Jets Pizza enterprise, while Lynndy crisscrossed the country—and the world—promoting U.S. defense technology. But no matter where life took them, they found themselves circling back to each other. The timing was never perfect. They were often in different states, sometimes on different continents. But they kept choosing to stay in each other’s lives. Over time, the distance became part of the routine, not a reason to stop. In April 2024, on the 11th anniversary of their first date—and once again on Easter weekend and Lynndy’s now 30th birthday—they returned to Boston. During a walk through the Boston Public Garden, where they spent time doing what they’ve always loved—watching birds and reminiscing about the many times they met in the city a decade ago—Anthony proposed. They both knew that no matter where their careers or lives might take them, they didn’t want to be considered separate anymore. They celebrated that night at the same place where it all began—Grill 23—joined by their families. On April 11th, they’ll get married at Lynndy’s family ranch in Camp Verde, Arizona. It will be a celebration of the years that brought them here—black tie and boots, and the joining of two different backgrounds that, somehow, fit just right.
