Mo and Tom first crossed paths in Southern California in 2017. Mo had just begun her journey as a travel nurse, moving cross country from NJ and was excited to meet new people and find new adventures. Tom had just returned to CA after solo backpacking around the world for 14 months and was resisting settling back into "normal" life. Their first date, they met up on Blackie's beach, surfed, and rode beach cruiser bikes to get tacos. They bonded over their shared love for the outdoors and travel and spent many days in the following months climbing, surfing, and camping together. After a few years of long distance while Mo continued travel nursing, Mo decided to return to CA to give their relationship a real shot in 2019. In 2020, they both quit their jobs to travel the world together for a year, but their plans were derailed by the pandemic. The silver lining was that they got a chance to live together during covid in Palo Alto CA in 2020, which brought them closer than ever. Not wanting to give up on their dream of traveling, they set off on a 6 month long ski trip across the western US in Tom's built out Sprinter van, aka The Snow Leopard, in 2021. The PNW captured them both and they have been putting down roots in Seattle for the last three years. Tom proposed (and shocked Mo in doing so!) in front of Wedgemount Lake outside Whistler, BC this past August while on a trail run. They are so excited to take on their biggest adventure yet together as husband and wife.
