Getting There

Port Townsend is 2 hours from SeaTac. To help guide your travels, read on for details! Need travel guidance? Reach out to Lydia's brother Will at 214.649.0955 for personalized advice. -- We recommend renting a car for the weekend to optimize your flexibility. Especially if you using the long weekend to extend your travels! If you are driving from SeaTac, you can either drive the full route (through Tacoma) or break up the drive with a ferry trip. If you'd like to see Seattle or just take a break from driving, you should take your car on the Seattle - Bainbridge ferry, which will get you about an hour's drive away from Port Townsend. The travels times vary, so we recommend simply checking the directions to Port Townsend when you land to decide which route to take. On your return, we recommend driving straight to SeaTac. You can also take Rocket Shuttle to and from PT, which works well if you prefer to explore town by foot or can carpool with friends during the weekend.

SeaTac

Our local airport about 2 hours away from Port Townsend.

Rocket Shuttle

Rocket is a lovely private shuttle van service that will take you to and from SeaTac to your doorstep! Reservations required in advance. Recommended if you want to explore PT on foot or can carpool once in PT with friends and family.

Seattle - Bainbridge Ferry

The ferry to Bainbridge island will take you about half way to Port Townsend -- recommended if you are flying in early to see some amazing views and explore Seattle on your way over! If you are looking at the ferry option to get to PT, we only recommend the Bainbridge ferry and not an alternate route. The link above will take you directly to book tickets. Special fares like senior discounts available when booking. This link is where you can look at the schedule: https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=sea-bi Tickets are required for vehicles, however you can simply drive up and purchase your ticket at the ferry (they do not need to be purchased in advance).

Cedarbrook Lodge

www.cedarbrooklodge.com

Need to stay a night by the airport on your way to or from the wedding? There are a number of hotels extremely close to the airport, but our absolute favorite is Cedarbrook Lodge, which has a speedy airport shuttle, lovely grounds, and a good restaurant.
