We're recommending cocktail attire for the wedding ceremony and reception, but your comfort is important to us! Wear what you'll feel best in. Note: The forecast is coming in on the cooler side for the 31st so we suggest having a layer to keep warm. The high is currently projected at 64 with a low of 58.
Shuttle Service to Ceremony Service Start: 2:45 PM Frequency: Every 15 minutes until 3:15 PM Pickup Location: Fort Worden Commons Building Reception Closing Shuttle Service: Service Start: 8:45 PM Frequency: Every 15 minutes until 9:45 PM Pickup Location: Maritime Center Parking Lot Note: - The shuttle's default route is to the Fort and back, but the driver will except custom drop-off locations in town. - The shuttle will be available between designated runtimes in case anyone needs to return to their lodging at any point during the event.
The venue is a short walk from most locations downtown. For those staying at Fort Worden, we suggest using the shuttle service. The Bishop Hotel is 2 blocks from the venue, and the Swan is literally across the street, so guests staying at these locations should plan on a lovely little stroll to the Maritime Center. The Tides and Harborside are a touch further, so we will potentially run a shuttle stop there depending on how many folks end up staying at these hotels.
The parking by the wedding venue is extremely limited, and we do not recommend driving unless necessary. If you're staying at one of the recommended hotels we suggest walking. For guests staying at Fort Worden, there will be a shuttle service available to get you safely to and from the venue.
Note: The forecast is coming in on the cooler side for the 31st so we suggest having a layer to keep warm. The high is currently projected at 64 with a low of 58. Layers are key!
The welcome dinner and the wedding ceremony/reception are both accessible for those with limited mobility. Both events will be a combination of indoor and outdoor, with level paved ground outside and wheelchair lifts and elevators on the inside. Please note, PT is a really old town -- not every shop or restaurant in town is accessible. If you need accommodation in your housing and we have not already been in touch about this, please let us know. We're happy to talk through details with you.
We are hoping that Labor Day on Monday gives folks more time to relax and explore the local area, or to fly back home with less of a time crunch. We know PT is far for pretty much everyone, and appreciate you all making the trip. All rooms are blocked from 8/30-9/1, but likely the hotels will have more availability if you want to come early or stay late. We will have some optional, very casual things planned for Sunday for anyone who is staying through Monday. If you want ideas on exploring the Olympic Peninsula or Washington as a whole, let us know as we'd love to share!
We do recommend renting a car or carpooling with your friends to get to Port Townsend. A shuttle option is available from the airport if you are meeting folks with cars once you get to PT!
Due to a limited venue capacity, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited to the ceremony and reception if named on your invite. We love your children, and are excited to have them at the other weekend events. We are happy to help find local childcare providers if needed. We appreciate your understanding and are looking forward to hosting you at our wedding!
We are so excited to celebrate this day with our favorite people! As we have a strict venue capacity, we can only accommodate guests who were invited by name. Thank you for understanding!
