We're so excited to celebrate our wedding with you!

We've all seen the commercials and advertisements, but apparently there is some truth to eHarmony's tagline of "Here for Real Love." We met on eHarmony while Erika was in Mount Vernon starting her career as a pediatrician, and Tyler was stationed in Oak Harbor at NAS Whidbey, but in Greece on deployment (turns out those "distance" parameters are a little inaccurate sometimes). Luckily, after talking for several months online we still wanted to meet, and we had our first official date on February 24, 2019. After being able to spend about a year (minus one deployment) in the same state, Tyler was sent to Fort Meade, MD and moved in early 2020, just as COVID-19 was declared a worldwide pandemic. While COVID-19 certainly made "long-distance" look a lot different than we were expecting, Erika decided to take the leap and move to Maryland in August of 2021. COVID threw another wrench in our plans when our trip back to WA for Christmas 2021 was cancelled, and unbeknownst to Erika, so were the original proposal plans. With Tyler's creative and quick planning he changed the proposal to our ZooLights trip on 12/24/21...which in Tyler's words was a "Zoo-tacular event." Now, we can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family and are looking forward to making a safe environment for all those attending!
