Black tie optional attire is requested. Men should wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie. Women should wear a formal gown or a floor length dress, although certain formal cocktail dresses may be appropriate.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event. This will allow all our guests, including parents, the chance to have an evening of relaxation. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is RSVP only, and we will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. We hope you will mingle with our other guests and enjoy the festivities!
Yes! If you have a food allergy or other dietary restriction(s), please note that when you RSVP. We will do what we can to accommodate your restriction(s). However, we respectfully request that you list only necessary restrictions and not preferences.
The ceremony and reception will both take place at the Mahaffey Theater. The Theater is located at 400 1st Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33701.
To allow you to be fully present during this special moment, we respectfully request that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We will have three excellent photographers present, and we cannot wait to share the photos with you! After the ceremony, please feel free to go photo crazy. If you choose to post on social media, please tag us using our wedding hashtag: #lukesgettingmaryed
The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. We recommend bringing a jacket/shawl if you tend to get cold indoors, and don't forget to wear your dancing shoes!
Since our wedding will have an open bar, we highly recommend rideshare options (Uber, Lyft). However, guests who choose to drive to the venue may park in the Mahaffey Theater's parking lot. Please inform the parking attendant that you are a wedding guest-- we already took care of the parking fee.
Please review our "Accommodations" page for room block information and other hotel recommendations.
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Florida weather can be fickle! November weather typically means fairly warm/hot during the day, but it can get chilly at night. We recommend packing layers, and don't forget your swimsuit-- St. Petersburg has beautiful beaches, and local hotels typically feature outdoor pools/hot tubs.
