Flight
San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento are the three closest large airports to Wine Country - each about 1.5 hours from the vines. The Sonoma County Airport is also extremely convenient, but flights are limited. Rental Cars, Uber & Lyft, and Airport Busses are available. Ubers from SFO, OAK, or SAC to Napa or Sonoma Counties cost around $100. For a shuttle bus from OAK or SFO to the Sonoma County Airport in Windsor, use the Sonoma County Airport Express bus. Book online in advance for $36. For a shuttle bus from SFO to Napa, use the Evans Transportation bus. Cash only - $40 for adults and $30 for children under 12.
Hotel
If you are considering making the trip out here for the wedding, we would recommend booking your accommodations sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, reserved hotel blocks are hard to come by in Wine Country since hotels know they will sell out regardless of offering discounts! We're also getting married in the middle of the busiest (but also the most fun and exciting) time of the year - HARVEST. We were lucky to be able to find two hotels close to the venue that were willing to reserve room blocks for us - check those out below! Keep in mind that while they are close to the venue, they are not necessarily the closest to the rest of the Wine Country action. For all other hotels, consider the following locations: To be close to the action in the hub of the Napa Valley, look for hotels in the cities of Napa or Yountville. To be close to our wedding venue, look for hotels in the cities of Saint Helena, Calistoga, and Santa Rosa. Feel free to reach out for specific recommendations!
House Or Rental
We STRONGLY recommend looking into AirBnb, VRBO, and other vacation rental sites before booking a hotel. They are often times more affordable and in better locations - plus, most of them are gorgeous! Travel Note
Our venue is a little off the beaten path - but that's why we love it! Unfortunately "off the beaten path" doesn't pair well with the incredible wines we will be serving. Please plan to have a designated driver and carpool for the evening if possible. Ride Share Apps will definitely work for your ride out to the venue on Saturday afternoon, but might be slightly less reliable for your trip home after the wedding. We will provide a list of local taxi services and phone numbers, but please plan ahead and of course reach out if you need more ideas!
