Flight
DCA is the closest airport to us. It usually takes 15 minutes to get to our neighborhood via taxi. It is easily accessible by metro. IAD (Dulles) is the next closest. Driving time to the airport greatly depends on traffic but usually takes 30-40 minutes by car. There is also metro line service that takes about 1 hour from Dupont Circle. BWI is the furthest from DC, but sometimes has cheaper flights. By car it can take about an hour. It is accessible by train. Going from the airport to DC: you would take a shuttle from the airport to the BWI train station then take an Amtrack or MARC train to Union Station, Washington, DC, and then take the metro or a cab to Dupont Circle.
