Outside of the racetrack, Saratoga is famed for its natural springs. You can find them all over downtown and throughout the city - ranging from incredibly sulfuric to tap water (literally drawn from our water source Loughberry Lake). But like a true Saratoga native, we won't tell you which is which; you'll just have to find out. Check the link included to learn more about this history of Saratoga Springs water.
Roosevelt Baths and Spa offers a number of traditional spa services - massage, facials, etc, but if we can recommend one special thing, it's the mineral baths.
There is some lore that Caroline Street holds a record for the most bars per square foot in the United States. While we cannot prove this is true - and the internet suggests otherwise (don't kill the hometown pride!) - it really is surprising how much activity you'll find in such a small city. The night is long, and you can stay late. You'll find what you like but some classics include: Hamlet & Ghost for good cocktails Desperate Annie's or Tin 'n' Lint for a dive 9 Maple for jazz and martinis Henry Street Taproom - (off Caroline Street but walking distance) for beer and conversation Gaffneys for live music
