Hotel
There are a lot of options in Ravello for places to stay. We are staying at Hotel Giodarno from 8/1-8/4 (three nights). This hotel is a short walk (about 300 meters) to the wedding venue. There is a pool with a view of the hillside.
Hotel
This hotel is across the street from our venue. It is owned by the same owners as Hotel Giordano. It is another great option with a restaurant onsite and an incredible view. Guests also have access to hotel Giordano's pool.
Travel Note
Here is the list that Wagner Tours/ Mario put together of suggested hotels and B&Bs (just click "View" below). Mario lives in Ravello and knows all of the best places so we trust him fully with this list! Again, if you would like to book any of these hotels or B&Bs, all you need to do is email Mario with the date name of the hotel/ B&B, date of arrival and departure, and number of guests, and mention you are with the Luibrand Kenyon wedding. He will then provide you with the price and reservation details. If you would like to book the hotel then you give him your credit card information. Here is the email: booking@wagnertours.it
Travel Note
We recommend contacting your hotel ahead of time to see if they will send someone to meet you when you arrive in order to carry your luggage to your hotel. Ravello is primarily a walking city and does not allow cars in the city square. To avoid carrying your baggage, many hotels offer complimentary or affordable options to meet you and carry your luggage for you. Both Hotel Giordano and Hotel Villa Maria offer complimentary porter service. Just indicate to Mario when booking or contact the hotel directly to arrange baggage pick up.

Below are the airports with direct flights to Rome: Atlanta Boston Charlotte Chicago Dallas Washington D.C. Dulles Los Angeles Miami New York City Newark Philadelphia Flights should be released in October for August 2023. Keep an eye out because prices change throughout the course of the year. We recommend using the "Hopper" app on your phone to watch the costs of flights and they recommend the best time to buy.
Flight
Erin and Justin are flying into Naples on 7/28. Naples is the most convenient airport to get to Ravello, it is about 1 hour away. However, it will likely cost a little bit more than flying into Rome as the airport is smaller with fewer direct flights. Newark airport has a brand new direct flight to Naples. Otherwise, most of the international airports will have flights to Naples with layovers.
Train
If you decide to fly into Rome, one way to get to Ravello is by train. But to get to the train station from the airport you need to take a shuttle. The Leonardo Express Airport Shuttle takes you to the Roma Termini Station in about 30-minutes. This is the main train station in Rome. You can purchase shuttle tickets at the station or in advance at the link below by clicking "View." The shuttle is approximately 14 euros and leaves the airport every half hour or every 15 minutes during peak hours (6:40am-11:40pm). Once you arrive at the Roma Termini Station, you will take a train to Naples. More information on the train to Naples and from Naples to Ravello is below.

Travel Note
Whether you chose to fly right into Naples or take the train to the Naples Centrale Train Station, you are on the last leg of your trip! You are only about an hour from Ravello, so bare with us! The best way to get from the Naples to Ravello is to arrange a private transfer. We have put together a listing of private transfer services that are highly recommended as per customer reviews on Trip Advisor. You can view each company's website and their information (i.e. address, phone number, reviews, etc.) by clicking on the "view" button under each company below!
Rental Car
This is a great option if you are traveling with a group. We are using this as our car transfer from the airport and you can add stops. For instance, you can do a pick up at the Naples airport and a drop off at your hotel in Positano and then you can add on a stop at Pompeii or Mount Vesuvius on the way. It allows for flexible schedules and seems to be best priced for 4+ people.

If you want to attend and make a trip out of it but don't like planning, we recommend the travel agent Jaime Buss. Jaime does everything travel related and is extremely knowledgeable (and has been doing it for over 20 years!). If you are interested in using her services we have linked her website which includes her contact information. Just mention to Jaime that you are friends/ family of Erin and Justin.
Travel Note
If you want to see a lot of Europe but are overwhelmed with planning then we recommend looking into booking a small group tour with the company Rabbies. They have numerous trips leaving from Rome and Milan that travel all over Italy and even go to the Swiss Alps. Erin and Justin have done a 5-day tour around Ireland with Rabbies and had the best time. The company was more affordable than paying for transportation ourselves and they were easy to work with - making it the least stressful trip possible. We have not done one of their Italy tours but if it is anything like their Ireland tour then you will not be disappointed!
