Villa Rufolo

Villa Rufolo

1 Piazza Duomo, Ravello, Campania 84010, Italy
, +39 089 857621

Villa Rufolo is within the historic city center of Ravello. It was built in the 13th century by a wealthy merchant family that boasted the villa had more rooms than days in the year. In its prime, it was one of the largest and most expensive villas on the Amalfi Coast. In the 14th century, the Rufolo family hosted banquets for King Robert II of Naples and other Norman royalty. Today, Villa Rufolo is at the center of the city. They have piano concerts, chamber music, and grand orchestral performances here on a stage that juts out over the Mediterranean Sea, they have incredible gardens overlooking the Amalfi Coast below, and you can tour the historic villa itself. Villa Rufolo is a must see in Ravello!

Ravello - Atrani - Amalfi Walk

Ravello - Atrani - Amalfi Walk

Castiglione, Campania 84010, Italy

The Ravello-Atrani-Amalfi walk is a trek of about 3.4 km (2.1 miles) that allows you to walk to Amalfi in about 2 hours. The path is almost totally downhill when leaving from Ravello and develops along an ancient stone staircase, with short stretches of dirt road. The walk passes through the towns of Torello and Atrani. On the walk you will walk alongside historic Italian architecture, citrus orchards, ancient winding staircases with a view of the stunning coastline.

Ravello - Minori Hike

Ravello - Minori Hike

Minori, Campania 84010, Italy

The hike from Ravello to Minori is relatively easy, and there’s no map necessary. You can start at Piazza Duomo in Ravello (the plaza with the giant cathedral) follow Via Dei Rufolo under the archway and take an immediate left down the narrow staircase after exiting the archway. From there, simply follow all markers to Minori and avoid all upward staircases. The scenery is simply remarkable. While walking this scenic route between Ravello and Minori you can view, from vantage points atop cliffs, in gardens or roadways, sweeping vistas along the seacoast.

For all the days along the way
