Question

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be at Villa Eva in Ravello, Italy. Villa Eva is an indoor/ outdoor venue. Weather permitting we will be outside until 11:59pm and then move inside for more dancing until 2:00am!

How will I get to the venue from the hotel?

Answer

Ravello is a small, walking city! The two recommended hotels, Hotel Giordano and Hotel Villa Maria are just a few meters from the venue. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs in Ravello/ the Amalfi Coast.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We understand you are traveling and it may be difficult to bring nicer clothes. If you are able we recommend semi-formal/ formal attire. This is typically a suit and tie or dress, we just kindly ask no jeans, shorts, or sneakers.

Isn't it going to be really hot?

Answer

Although you never know, it will likely be hot. Due to schedules and venue availability we chose to go ahead with an August wedding anyway. We will do our best to make our guests comfortable, but this is something we can't control.

Why is your wedding on a Wednesday?

Answer

We understand a wedding in the middle of the week in a foreign country is not convenient for anyone. We are hoping if you are able to attend you make a trip of a lifetime for yourself out of it. With a wedding in the middle of the week, you can choose to plan a trip with weekends on both ends of the wedding anywhere in the world that you want - and that is what we hope you do! With that being said we also completely understand if it is not something you can do at this time. Please do not stress because we understand what we are asking of you and we understand if it is not the right time as well!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes! We just ask that you note your restrictions when you RSVP.

How do I get to Hotel Giordano or Hotel Villa Maria after arriving in Ravello?

Answer

Since Ravello is a no-car city, you will likely be dropped off at Villa Rufolo and will need to walk to your location. If you are staying at Hotel Villa Maria or Hotel Giordano and need assistance, please let us know on your RSVP and we can arrange for assistance to help get you to the hotel. Please also note that some hotels assist with luggage as well. Both Hotel Giordano and Hotel Villa Maria offer complimentary porter service. When you book or after you book you can reach out through our wedding planner Mario or directly to the hotel to arrange luggage pickup.

Do you have a hotel room block for guests?

Answer

Unlike the US, unfortunately, this is not an option. However, we have an incredible wedding planner that will work to get you the best deal. Check out our accommodations page for hotel information and Mario contact information.

Why is your RSVP so early?

Answer

Our venue requires a final count for guests 100 days in advance. We understand this is unusally early for a wedding RSVP but in order to give an accurate count, we ask that you adhere to the RSVP deadline. If this is an issue just let us know! We are hoping since the wedding requires travel and planning that you will know if you can attend well in advance anyway!

Why didn't I choose my meal when I RSVP?

Answer

In Italy they do set menus instead of choosing the course. Please just indicate if you have any food allergies when you RSVP and we will be sure to accomodate you!

Is Erin or Justin changing their last name?

Answer

Nope! Erin will stay Erin Luibrand and Justin will stay Justin Kenyon. Both of us have earned law degrees and built careers with the names we have - but we likely would have made this same decision regardless. Our last names are part of our identity so we have decided to keep our names both personally and professionally. That does not mean we love each other any less and we both completely support each other's decision. One day if we decide to have kids they will share both of our names!
