FAQs

Question

Can kids come?

Answer

Kids are totally welcome! We love our families and want everyone to be included. Kids meals will be provided at the reception!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

That's no problem at all! Just let us know when you RSVP.

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

The ceremony will be a full Catholic mass. This means that it will last roughly one hour in order to fully celebrate the sacrament of marriage. If you don't feel comfortable participating in the intricacies of the mass or you're not in full communion with the Catholic Church, we invite you to come and witness our marriage without any pressure to kneel or come up for a Eucharistic blessing. If you do choose to come up and get a blessing, you can cross your arms across your chest to indicate you are ready for the blessing but not partaking in Holy Communion.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We hope that you'll sit back and enjoy the ceremony without the distraction of a phone or camera. We will have some professional wedding photographers there to capture every special moment and will be so excited to share those pictures with you!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be indoors, in the church. The reception venue will have both indoor and outdoor portions which will be used for both dinner and dancing.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress for the wedding is cocktail attire. This basically means to dress up for the occasion as a formal one - but a ballgown or tuxedo will leave you feeling overdressed. Think dresses, jackets, ties, and slacks while avoiding jeans and sneakers.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is a parking lot across from St Patrick's church. The Bryan Museum also has a parking lot, but it isn't huge and street parking will therefore be more readily available.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

You'll have about and hour and a half to go back to your hotel and rest or check out all that Galveston has to offer! Check out the "Things to Do" tab of this website for recommendations.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We highly suggest you use this website, ZOLA, for the wedding registry. We've spent a lot of time choosing some of our favorite items (as well as a honeymoon fund!) to make our future together as comfortable and lovely as possible. They offer better prices that other sites we've seen, and they ship the gifts to us for free! However, if going into a storefront is easiest for you, we're also registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond at this link: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/giftregistry/viewregistryguest/547425477?eventType=Wedding
