The spot of our engagement. It is about an hour and a half walk, and SO many stairs. However, it is also very pretty to drive by, should you be on the Isle of Skye.
Make sure you check before planning your trip here, as the castle is only open on select dates.
We know that there are some history buffs attending, so this one is for you.
I know this isn't near the wedding location; but I imagine others will want to travel throughout the country. We HIGHLY recommend Glen Coe. Also, this is very handicap accessible.
We have been here, and it is absolutely stunning. This is a major attraction on Loch Ness, therefore, you do have to pay to get in.
It's absolutely beautiful and worth the walk. You don't have to go all the way to the end of the hike to get stunning views, but there is some walking involved. Pay to park, then off you go! We did this for Chey's birthday and ended up soaked, as there was no hiding from the rain.
AKA The Fairy Glen! This was really pretty, and didn't require much walking to see the castle. However, if you want to get into the castle, that's a different story. Be prepared as you will have to have balance, and climb through a somewhat narrow hole to get inside. However, the glen below with the stones is pretty. It also gives a wonderful sight to things nearby.
