There are a select number of available rooms at the Newport Marriott Hotel & Spa which is in Newport center (right on the water). To reserve a room, call the hotel and request a room in the "Love/Stricker Wedding Room Block" or use the "View" button below to book online. Please note that the Marriott requires a two-night minimum booking (Thursday, December 18th and Friday, December 19th) to obtain the wedding block's discounted rate. The rate includes a $30 resort fee which is redeemable for the same amount of food/beverage credits at the hotel (room service or at their bars/restaurants) and includes two free tickets to either the Newport Vineyards or the Newport Sailing Museum. Free self-parking is available in a city lot next to the hotel (the Newport Gateway Center) on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel also offers valet parking for a fee. To reserve a room, call the hotel and request a room in the "Love Stricker" wedding room block or or use the "View" button below to book online. There is no minimum night stay at this venue so rooms can be booked for only the night of the wedding (Friday) if desired. However, please note that the hotel cannot guarantee early check-in (standard check-in is at 4pm) so guests coming in on Friday should plan accordingly for a 2:30pm ceremony. **Please note that this resort is not affiliated with the OceanCliff Hotel (where the wedding will be held). Guests wishing to book one of the condos at the OceanCliff 1 & 2 should use the resort's unique phone number listed below** There are a select number of available rooms at the Oceancliff 1 and 2, which are apartment-style suites that are on the water right next to the venue; just a short walk across the driveway to the mansion! To reserve a suite, call the listed number (ask for Eric or Aaron) and request a room in the "Love Wedding" block. The suites include a full kitchen, a living room (most have a pull-out couch), two full bathrooms, and either one or two bedrooms. Parking here is complementary (no fee). There is no minimum night stay at this venue so rooms can be booked for only the night of the wedding (Friday) if desired. Flight
Guests coming from non-drivable distances should fly into Rhode Island's T.F. Green International Airport. From there, the OceanCliff is about a 45-minute drive to Newport, RI. There is unfortunately no public transit option that will take you directly into Newport, but Uber and Lyft are available from the airport for those who do not wish to rent a car. Uber and Lyft services should also be plentiful around Newport as well. We will be providing shuttles to and from the ceremony/reception and hotels (see details below).
Travel Note
There is ample (free) parking at the OceanCliff for anyone wishing to drive themselves. Shuttles will run between the venue and hotels in Newport Center (Marriott and Harbor Hotel) before and after the festivities. Shuttle To OceanCliff (Ceremony/Reception): Marriott and Harbor Hotel Pickup: TBD *please arrive at bus 15min before departure Shuttle From OceanCliff (following reception): TBD bus with drop-off at both hotels If you miss the shuttle to the ceremony/reception, please drive yourselves or uber as there will only be one pickup prior to the event. Cars can be left overnight at the OceanCliff if individuals drive themselves to the reception but would prefer not to drive back.
